Simon Burr

Director

Simon is the Financial Director of BTG Group, Martello’s parent company, and a director of PWM Wealth (Pty) Ltd in South Africa.  He was instrumental in setting up Martello in early 2019 and has Group responsibility for the business.

Prior to joining the BTG Group, he was based in Zimbabwe, initially as a partner with Coopers and Lybrand, and thereafter as a partner of an asset management company.  In addition to his other responsibilities, he maintains a number of client relationships on the ground in both South Africa and Zimbabwe on behalf of Group companies, including Martello.

Simon is a qualified Chartered Accountant in Zimbabwe and holds a B.Comp Degree from Unisa. He acts  a Key Individual and Representative of Martello under the South African regulatory framework.

He is married with 3 children, all of whom are girls, and he enjoys playing golf in his spare time.
